The project is located on the artery of the big city, but only a few minutes from the wild and picturesque Rokytka valley, overlooking the Prosecky Rocks. Inspired by the character of the place, the designed apartment building brings a unique combination of urban life and natural harmony.
Nature in the city
The block in question is directly influenced by its orientation towards the city and towards the natural green belt along the Rokytka River. Excellent transport accessibility offers future residents a privileged way of life in contact with nature. Our concept focuses on this quality, bringing nature into the architecture and creating a private garden within the block.
Nature penetrates the designed volume in the form of green energy, taking away its mass and settling on the terraces. The use of a modular system and repetitive architectural expression creates a dynamic concept with different shapes and sizes of openings. The block has two faces – the urban character of the street facades and the unique landscape of the stepped internal hidden garden.
"Connecting the city and nature"
We designed a system that strikes a balance between functionality, human scale and contact with nature. The views are primarily oriented towards the quiet courtyard garden, with glimpses of the surrounding greenery and the wooded slopes above Vysočany railway station. At the same time, we allow a view from the street or from the park into the courtyard, thus revealing what is going on inside the building. The project takes advantage of the uniqueness of the site and the Prague district of Vysočany to create a comfortable and attractive place to live.
