Nature in the city

The winning design in an international two-round competition organized by the investment group Penta Real Estate, whose slogan is “creating better spaces.”

The Heart of Greenery

Along the streets Malešická and K Červenému dvoru is a unique area, between the former freight stations, belonging to Prague’s largest developing areas, and the constantly growing apartment constructions in Vackov.

This design forms perfect balance between functionality, human to building proportionality, and contact with nature. The placement of apartment buildings along the land perimeter opens up a large space used for the creation of a public park, bringing nature into architecture and the lives of future residents.

The park is surrounded by two large, curved residential blocks, which altogether contain 500 apartments, and is open to both residents and locals from surrounding districts. It functions as a shared outside space, both for socializing and relaxation. The biologically diverse surroundings with local plant and animal species, without cars and noise, is a very valuable addition to this developmental area.

"A local identity for individuals and community."

The architectural concept of horizontally and vertically receding modules creates an interesting landscape of facades, with optimal use of daylight, and provides all apartments with the best views of the green. Although these are buildings with a large number of residential units, the design conveys a strong sense of place and atmosphere. The design is friendly and recognisable, while treating each apartment as a private independent home.
