The thoughtful rotation of the building offers children the maximum amount of daylight while preserving as much garden area as possible. The direct connection between the garden and classrooms makes the entire design a vibrant multi-purpose space that promotes play, recreation and learning.
Journey in the clouds
The kindergarten building is deliberately oriented towards Husova Street, along the northern boundary of the site, so that all classrooms are sufficiently sunlit while maintaining as much garden area as possible. The garden and the entire school building form one interconnected space that provides endless opportunities for children to play, rest and learn.
The land is landscaped to a slight slope, which facilitates the movement of children and connection to the street. Elements promoting fun, relaxation and education are placed in the garden, making it an integral part of the learning process.
"Kindergarten is not just a building, but a place where children discover a world of possibilities and joy"
The architectural structure of the building allows for a variable arrangement of functional elements and their interconnection. The L-shaped classrooms allow a natural separation of sleeping and playing areas, which contributes to the comfort and peace of mind of the children. A large number of windows, which can be covered by exterior blinds, provide plenty of controllable light and natural ventilation. Skylights are also designed for perfect lighting. The building is varied in height thanks to a combination of flat and pitched roofs with a slope. The façade is made of red cedar with an oil coating, creating a pleasant natural look and ensuring a long life.
