Understanding the needs of the Montessori approach to education was a key aspect of the design of the educational building. The Montessori method focuses on an individual approach to pupils and supports them on their journey of discovery. Teachers have the ability to inspire a sense of reflection, imagination, understanding and patience. Our indoor spaces are designed to be as flexible as possible so that users can adapt them to their needs, creating a friendly and open school environment in line with the Montessori concept of education.
Sustainability is a major theme for the design of the new gymnasium building. The building was designed with respect for its surroundings with a receding mass that creates areas of residential green roofs. The gymnasium fits harmoniously into the surrounding buildings, complementing the urban fabric and offering an efficient use of space. By connecting to the public space to Jílkova Street, it responds by modifying the wider surroundings and cultivating the public spaces. The rational form of the building and the moderate, timeless architecture create the conditions for economical construction.
