The current administrative building, built in the 60s, no longer answers the modern-day needs and issues of a public space or workplace. The revitalization of the site brings life and new opportunities to this public space, while adding quality architecture. The synergy of multiple functions in one place ensures the efficiency of the institution.
Green yards
The focus is on a set of buildings in the current site of Zařízení služeb pro Ministerstvo vnitra, which serves for the acquisition and organization of repairs and other services. This site is at the end of its usable lifespan, and the buildings are falling apart, burdening the Ministry of internal affairs with high cost of upkeep and serviceability. The fundamental revitalization’s goal is to increase efficiency of future upkeep of this administrative institution. We aim to centralize the workplace to a strategic and transportation-wise accessible site at Evropská street.
The revitalization design works not only with the investor’s requests but also aspires towards the renewal of the surroundings and increasing it’s attraction. The project includes the rebuilding of the current site and administrative complex of buildings, where car traffic will be minimized and oriented towards the center of the site. A part of the project includes the expansion of public space in José Martího street, in the form of additional parking space and complete street reconstruction.
"Quality architecture, efficient institution."
The main administrative site for approximately 2800 employees will be formed from 4 buildings with 2 underground and 5 above-ground levels each, interconnected with the main communication hall cutting across the site. Amongst the individual buildings, the surrounding landscape makes itself known with residential greenery, creating friendly spaces, also used within the concept of sustainability.
