A roof over the town, the heart of sport. The seven-storey pavilion house creates a local icon of the hitherto undefined open space around Litochlebské náměstí.
Plasticity
The plan footprint of the house is circular and the height corresponds to the surrounding buildings. The shape and placement of the building responds to the curvature of the adjacent roundabout, zoning regulations, and the realistic land use. It also predetermines the resulting unconventional form of the mass and façade.
The filling of the house is its essence, the residential southern façade is represented by the spatial structure of the loggias of individual apartments, the northern façade consists of pavilions and pre-set vertical communication cores. Attractive and compact apartments are designed. Significant is the high height of the main living space, which is visually connected to the inset mezzanine, where the bedroom is located. Also exceptional are the large floor-to-ceiling windows that illuminate the two aforementioned apartment spaces located one above the other.
"Exceptional apartments in an emerging urban neighbourhood"
The material composition of the house surrounded by greenery is supported by the horizontal base of the partially open garage on the ground floor, covered with climbing plants. The receding seventh floor with living terraces is topped with a reflective floating roof “visor”.
