The Meeting of Innovation and Landscape on One Track

A strong environmental thoughtfulness with large emphasis on the project’s ecology and sustainability for the landscape. The design’s idea is based on finding a mutually beneficial synergy of transportational infrastructure with nature.

Synergy with the landscape

The subtle design with a progressive air gives rise to the terminal for a high-speed railway. The design creates a newer, superior landscape, which supports biodiversity and is beneficial for the environment. The same thorough approach is placed on the designs of surrounding villages. The design supports the dense and functional bio corridors, roads, cycling tracks and biocenters, which connect all the surrounding villages with each other, both with nature and the train terminal. Our idea is based on finding a mutually beneficial synergy between nature and transportational infrastructure.
The traffic of the terminal is separated into two height platforms. The main platform on the terrain and parking level contains the spacious terminal hall, creating a bridge over the train tracks, while holding the required road connection on it’s rooftop. The hall’s transparent design creates a light, airy and see-through space, which is viewed as a lively, busy plaza with shops, trees, and resting spots. The hall’s side-walls are entirely transparent, providing an open view of the arriving and departing trains.

"Modern technology together creates the future of transport, which is friendly towards the environment."

The bottom platform contains three parallel platforms – two for high-speed rails, and one for a bus terminal. The platform rooking is designed from a fine steel construction with a transparent photovoltaic glass roof, which is also placed on the terminal hall’s roof. All platforms are sheltered and connected with a vertical road to the main hall, ensuring a comfortable solution for all travelers.
