The competition proposal of the building of an elementary school is a typical two-story structure that does not stand out from the surrounding buildings. However, for its users, it is a spacious complex that fulfills all modern requirements for this type of facility, following the motto of “Learning by playing.” By connecting to the public space through a narrow section of the plot and being framed by mature greenery, the school’s operation is safely separated from the surroundings. The transition between the school building itself and the surrounding roads is formed by publicly accessible areas such as the park, playground, and parking lot along the connecting road. Inside the building, the functional areas for the primary and secondary levels are spatially divided and operationally separated from the gymnasium and auditorium, which do have their own entrances. The rational form of the building and its understated timeless architecture create conditions for cost-effective construction and use.
