The expansion of the ŠKODA DESIGN building is based on the optimization of the operational solution and work process of all design department. At the same time, strict security criteria are imposed on the building, due to the sensitive content that is created in the building. The material solution is based on the urban concept of the Česana complex and existing relationships in the area.
The building itself is designed as a minimalistic modern element, whose facade corresponds to the interior layout. That is why the facade mirrors its surrounding and provides a protected interior environment. An important factor is respect for the existing buildings, which refer to the history of the area. The extension effectively uses the capacity of the area and at the same time provides the possibility of further development in the direction of the Jizera River.
