The project is located on the thoroughfare of the city, but only a few minutes from the wild and picturesque Rokytka river valley, and overlooks the rising Prosek rocks. Both localities excel in their naturalness and wildness.
Our proposal is inspired by the character of the site and its surroundings. The housing block is directly influenced by its orientation towards the city and towards the natural green belt along the Rokytka river. The locality with an excellent transport services offers to the future residents a very privileged way of living in contact with the nature. Our proposal is focused on this quality, brings the nature into the architecture and creates a private garden inside the block, as an exclusive bonus to the public greenery in the area.
The nature penetrates through the designed volume in a form of a green energy, breaks the mass of the building and gradually settles on the spread-out terraces. By using a modular system with a repetitive architectural design, a dynamic concept is created with different scales and shapes of openings. The whole block has two faces – the urban character of the street facades and the unique landscape of the inner Secret Garden.
We have designed a system that creates a balance between functionality, the human scale and contact with nature. We focus the views on the quiet garden of the courtyard and at the same time we accentuate the view into the neighboring greenery up to the wooded slopes above the Vysočany Railway Station. Taking full advantage of the uniqueness of this plot in the city of Prague, and the Vysočany district, we design a comfortable and attractive place to live.
