Originally a Neo-Renaissance tenement house, which was converted into a bank in the 1920s. A bank hall and a safe, the building’s most valuable spaces, were added to the originally two perpendicular wings.
We approached the conversion of the building sensitively, so that important elements and character of the house were preserved. The seemingly drab facade of the building hides the beautiful spaces of a vaulted hall or a bank safe with preserved massive safe doors.
The main entrance to the building is a former passage to the unique spaces of the original bank hall, where the reception and lobby of the hotel are located. The hotel restaurant is located in the underground floor, in the vaulted brick cellars and the safe. There are 133 cozy hotel rooms on six above-ground floors.
