A clinic on the outskirt of town. In the area on the border of several urban structures, on the border between the city and the countryside, in contact with nature and with good transport accessibility. The design is divided into several phases: MASS, FUNCTION, OPERATION, OASIS, SUSTAINABILITY. All these phases are essential, balanced in the design, resolved in detail.
A lapidary mass based on the limits of the plot, respecting its surrounding and based on the concept of wider relationships, when we are on the border between the city and the countryside – buildings should merge with the landscape. Do not exceed it. The height of the building responds to the villa development and the morphology of the facades is designed in a residential character.
A functionally simple house with horizontal division, simple connections and modern synergies of individual units. Operating facilities and functions for the public oriented towards public areas. Bed stations are located in contact with the treetops and the inner courtyard.
Operationally, the design is optimized to preserve the privacy and comfort of individual functions. The house serves not only patients, but also doctors, nurses and visitors. Specific house values are suggested for all groups. Bed parts in the wings with east-west orientation. Operating parts facing south, north. Both stations on the floor are connected by a hall and visually by an inner courtyard. The more operationally sensitive parts of the building are oriented to the separate northern wing with connections to the underground garages.
The oasis in the inner courtyard is a piece of private landscape, peaceful nature. It creates an image, a desirable quality that serves as a socializing element for patients and visitors. The oasis is visual, therapeutic, functional and residential. It improves the indoor environment of the house and the psychological well-being of the building’s users.
We apply sustainability in all aspects of design and building life cycles. We pay attention to the simplicity of construction and the use of materials close to nature. We pay attention to efficiency, economy and return, when we make maximum use of local resources and technologies. We pay attention to a healthy internal environment, enough natural light, cross ventilation, water recycling, etc. We pay attention to modularity and the need to change the building over time.
